Release your inner child
JUST PURE FUN! man I loved this moment at Matt & Beckys wedding at Radipole Manor Weddings last year. You know instantly when you have a group of people that 100% up for laughs and good times!
We had just finished up some creative bridal/grooms party shots around the venue, we were all in high spirits and low and behold the bouncy castle was calling to my inner child! I swear we were all thinking the same thing, as we all ended up running over to that White Castle and we piled on in! I've never felt so much excitement, I was multi tasking bouncing and shooting...and trying not to get sucked down the side (Y’all must know what I mean!)
I wanted to feel and absorb that energy before I documented it fully, as a photographer I like to really feel moments before I take them, as I want to put that feeling into imagery, so when someone views that photograph, they can feel it too.
After a while, I bounced my butt off the trampoline and decided to collect that magic, I took a few images, but this one I particularly love. I wanted an image that captured EVERYTHING, from the environment, the people, the actions, the emotion, the connection and even the delicious summer light softly falling through.
I love how when I look at this image, there is things in every level, from foreground, mid ground, background and even beyond. It really transports you through the image. You start at the foreground with Matt and Becky, then your eye journeys to the three bridesmaids moment, heading to the king of the castle and beyond to the trees. 🌙 Thank you to all those individuals for making that comment magic!
